What's Micro-Soldering?

Micro-soldering repairs broken connections on the logic board using specialized equipment and precision hand techniques. The circuits we restore include the Tristar USB control IC (U2), which governs charging and power delivery; NAND memory banks that store your data; power management ICs (PMIC); the baseband processor for connectivity; audio control ICs; and the power distribution network itself. When any of these fails, the device becomes unresponsive or trapped in a boot loop.

Repairs We Perform

Device won't power on at all: Often the Tristar U2 control IC (commonly shorted by liquid or impact) has failed. We trace the power rails, identify the failed component, and restore proper power delivery through micro-soldering.

Stuck in boot loop or reboot cycles: Typically caused by a NAND memory chip losing connection or a baseband processor fault. We reflow solder joints or replace the failed IC.

No charging detected: A damaged Tristar U2 or power control circuit prevents the charging controller from recognizing the cable. The device may show "Charging isn't supported with this accessory" indefinitely.

Screen goes black or won't respond after water exposure: The liquid has compromised power rails or the display driver IC. We dry the board, identify corroded traces, and restore connections through micro-soldering.

Won't keep a charge or shuts down at 20% battery: A failed power management IC cannot regulate battery voltage correctly.

Data Recovery

Most devices we repair still have intact storage. If the phone powered on at any point before coming to you, we recover photos, messages, and contacts successfully in approximately 8 out of 10 cases. Your data belongs to you—recovery is included in the diagnosis.

The Diagnostic Process

We examine the device under magnification, test voltage on power rails with a microscope probe, and identify which component has failed. This diagnosis takes 30–90 minutes depending on the damage extent. If the repair is possible, we quote a fixed price and explain which component will be replaced or reflowed. If the board is beyond recovery—severely corroded, physically cracked beyond the component level, or with missing chip packages—we tell you directly.
