iPhone Repair Paris — English-Speaking Shop near Gare de Lyon

You are in Paris, your iPhone just broke, and you may be leaving in two days. I am Karim. I repair phones alone at 232 rue de Bercy, in the 12th arrondissement, a two-minute walk from Gare de Lyon and Quai de la Rapee. I have been doing this since 2013, on more than 40,000 devices, and I work in English, French and Spanish. You can walk in without an appointment, Monday to Saturday.

Screen replaced in 30 minutes, while you wait

A cracked screen, a dead touch layer or ghost touch is a 30-minute job, and you stay in the workshop while I do it. You choose the panel yourself: LCD, OLED or original. I explain what each one changes for colour, brightness, touch response and True Tone before you decide, instead of deciding for you. The waterproofing gasket is replaced every time a phone is opened, which most shops skip, and every repair carries a six-month warranty. Battery replacement while you wait

A battery that collapses by midday, a phone that shuts down at 30 percent, a swollen back, or an unknown battery message: replacement takes 30 minutes, in front of you. From 59 EUR on iPhone 15, 16 and 17, from 49 EUR on iPhone 11 to 14, from 39 EUR on iPhone X, XR and XS.

Phone will not turn on: motherboard repair and micro-soldering

This is what I actually specialise in, and what almost no shop in Paris does. When an iPhone will not start at all, restarts on the Apple logo, refuses every charger, or dies after a fall or a swim, the fault is on the board, and swapping parts around it changes nothing. I work at component level under a microscope: Tristar and Tigris on the charging line, PMIC on power, NAND on storage, baseband, audio IC, filters. The diagnosis that determines whether the fault comes from the board is free. Beyond that, a deep expertise fee of 69 to 99 EUR is paid when you leave the device. It is deducted in full from the final price if the repair succeeds, and kept if the board turns out to be beyond repair, in return for the micro-soldering work already done. I announce this before taking any device in, without exception. Board repairs are returned within 24 to 72 hours depending on the fault.

Data recovery when the phone is dead

Photos and messages that were never backed up are not lost with the phone. The NAND chip keeps its contents even when the board is dead on the power side: the work is to stabilise the board, then read that chip directly, without depending on the phone starting. On this kind of case I succeed in roughly 8 out of 10 attempts.
